What Happens When You Host a Conference That’s Changing the Financial Game?

My time at the 2025 Currence Conference in Chicago

This week, my brother Jonah and I flew out to Chicago for the 2025 Currence Income Under Management Conference, and let me tell you, it was next-level!

I wasn’t just attending. I had the honor of hosting the entire three-day event, right at the heart of the action at the Hyatt Centric on the Magnificent Mile. From the opening welcome to the closing remarks, I was guiding the flow, introducing the powerhouses behind today’s top financial strategies, and injecting energy into every session.

Here’s the breakdown.

Why We Were There

This wasn’t just another “money talk” conference. Currence is shifting how financial advisors approach cash flow with their clients. The event focused on turning Income Under Management into the new standard, not just assets. Jonah and I have been passionate about helping folks understand how to manage their own money, especially through systems like The Cash Compound, so this was right up our alley.

Who Was in the Room

The lineup?
From Chris Smith (The PSBLTY Co.) to Jeremiah Desmarais (Advisorist) and Ande Frazier (Author, Educator), to Currence’s own leadership John Bearden, David Mozeika, and more, this was a room full of people who are using cash flow automation to create real impact.

I got to kick off sessions with energy, keep the momentum high between speakers, and make sure everyone from seasoned advisors to new strategists, felt like they were part of something that matters. This wasn’t a lecture hall; it was a movement.

"The energy was off the hook! I've never enjoyed talking about finance this much in my life!"

Highlights from My POV

  • Fireside chats that didn’t feel rehearsed. Real questions. Real answers. Real people.

  • A reception full of connections. Laughs, shared stories, and future collaborations being born over one too many hors d'oeuvres.

  • Panel moments that felt like a wake-up call. People left inspired and challenged. I saw it on their faces.

And on top of all that? I got to do it with my brother beside me. Jonah’s been in this space for years, helping families think differently about money. Seeing him in his element, sharing ideas and connecting with peers, made the whole trip even more meaningful.

What I Took Away

This conference reminded me that stewardship isn’t just about saving money, it’s about owning your voice, and taking back control of your financial story. That’s what Currence is helping advisors do with their clients. And that’s what I’m all about too.

If you’re in the financial world, and you’re not paying attention to what Currence is building, you’re already behind.

If you’re a client wondering how to break out of the traditional "budget-and-hope" system, we’ve got better answers now.

Thanks to the whole Currence team for trusting me with the mic.

Thanks to everyone who showed up, stayed present, asked the hard questions, and made the room electric.

Let’s keep making money make sense - for everyone.
