Very Gifted: Lessons from Money Game Live in Tampa

JDew attends the Money Game Live in Tampa, FL.

There was a time in my life when I knew my W2 path wasn’t going to take me where I wanted to go. I’m grateful for every job I’ve had. But deep down, I knew there had to be more. More ownership. More leverage. More control over my time and my income.

That’s why standing on stage at Money Game Live in Tampa, introducing Les Brown, meant more than just another hosting moment. It felt full circle.

From Humble Beginnings to Global Impact

Les Brown at The Money Game Live

Les shared his story again, the one that never gets old.

Born on the floor with his twin brother. Adopted by Miss Mamie Brown in Florida. Labeled "mentally retarded" in school. Written off early.

And yet… He built a global speaking career. He built wealth. He built a legacy.

To hand him the microphone as the emcee and keynote host was surreal. After we both spoke, I caught him in the hallway and simply asked, “Mr. Brown, can I have a picture?” He looked at me and said, “Oh sure, yeah… very gifted.” Very gifted. I didn’t ask for advice. I didn’t try to monopolize his time. I respected the moment. But that phrase, coming from someone who shaped part of my early development, stays with you.

The Room Was About Real Strategy

Money Game Live wasn’t motivation alone. It was mechanics.

We heard from expert Isabelle Guarino on elderly care and assisted living investment models. We heard Rachael Katz break down pathways to becoming debt free, including the student loan trap that so many carry quietly. We heard Don Pendleton—sharp, funny, and seasoned—walk through legal tax minimization strategies that most Americans never learn.

This wasn’t hype. It was structured.

The Cash Compound Team Showed Up

The Cash Compound Team

I wasn’t alone. Cash Compound coaches Cathy Lesure, Sergio Loiaza, Shawn King, and Nancy Hidalgo were all there—learning, sharpening, and expanding their capacity to serve. That matters.

Because The Cash Compound isn’t about theory. It’s about implementation. It’s about helping families build real systems around their money using what we call the Save & Spend System. When our team grows, our clients grow.

The Final Keynote: The Four I’s

JDew on stage at the Money Game Live

I had the honor of closing out the event as the final keynote speaker on Day Three.

I taught what we call The Four I’s, a framework designed to help people see money clearly.

"I" #1: Income. Your income buys your cars, clothes, cuisine and creature comforts. So, it’s important to keep it going and flowing all the days of your life, right?

"I" #2: If your income isn’t protected, everything else is fragile. Insurance isn’t an expense. It’s a foundation. Whole life insurance protects that important asset: your income.

"I" #3: Understand Interest. Most people only experience interest as something they pay. We teach how interest can come to you through properly structured policies and cash value systems. And there’s a second part. Understanding how policy loans work, how interest interacts on both sides of the ledger, and how to keep money in motion for your advantage is key! Don’t Steal the Peas!

"I" #4: Invest Without Fear. When your foundation is stable and your cash flow is predictable, investing stops feeling reckless. It becomes strategic.

When people understand these four principles, they stop reacting and start directing.

Bright Skies and Bigger Vision

The team

Tampa was bright and sunny. But more than the weather, the vision was clear.

I remember being that young professional wondering if a paycheck was the ceiling of my life. Now I get to stand in rooms where people are building systems, expanding ownership, and rewriting financial futures.

As Les said — “there is greatness within you.” I believe that. And I’m committed to helping more families multiply their money, grow their wealth, and expand their horizons through The Cash Compound.

The journey from W2 uncertainty to financial clarity doesn’t happen by accident. It happens by design.

If you are ready to experience the kind of financial freedom that comes by taking control, by leveraging a proven system, and by using the gifts you've been blessed with then email me directly at [email protected] and I'll be happy to help get you started on the journey today.
